About Us
Set in the stunning Yorkshire countryside, Shibden Valley Falconry is run by husband-and-wife team Kevin and Jo. Having been actively involved in birds of prey since the 80’s. Our main goal is entertainment, while spreading awareness of these magnificent animals and the need for conservation. All of the team here are passionate about the need for conservation, and feel privileged to work alongside such amazing birds.

On an Experience Day, do I get to handle the Birds?
A. Yes, you do! Under supervision (and suitably gloved up) you will get to experience first-hand all that is involved with the flying of a bird of prey.
Q. Are children allowed on the experience days?
A. Our Experience Days are suitable for children over 12, and well-behaved adults! It makes the perfect day out for individuals or a family.
Q. How many people are allowed in a group?
A. We like to keep our experiences personal, so there will be a maximum of 4 people for any 1 experience. This means that your day is tailored for exactly that, YOU!
Q. Are you open for public walk-ins?
A. No. Shibden Valley Falconry are a small business, and by appointment only. This keeps our undivided attention on our clients, and makes the experience even more special.
Q. Do you have Public Liability Insurance?
A. Yes, we carry full Public Liability Insurance and have a Performing Animals Licence.
